SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (AP) - A man who was presumed missing in Lake Tahoe when the paddle board he rented was found abandoned has turned up in Missouri.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports Wednesday that South Lake Tahoe police say Zbigniew "Zibi" Moryn, a tourist from Poland, swam to shore last week after falling off the board and continued on his U.S. vacation.
A boat rental company reported a customer missing Aug. 11 after his GoPro camera, selfie stick and life jacket were found by a boater with the unoccupied paddle board about half a mile from a marina.
Authorities released several pictures in hopes that it would help them identify the man.
Tips from the public, social media clues and photos from Moryn's camera helped police track him to Missouri.
