Pacquiao, one of the Philippines' most beloved native sons, will meet Floyd Mayweather in the ring Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Las Vegas Filipinos, as one of the largest contingents in the country, say it's icing on the cake to have the fight in their backyard.
Census data show that nearly 5 percent of Nevadans identify as Filipino, making the sparsely populated state home to the fifth largest contingent in the country.
In California, where the largest total number of Filipinos live, Our Lady of Loretto Elementary School in Los Angeles' Historic Filipinotown is scrambling to host a watch party.
