Seven Oroville teens are getting ready to commemorate a summer of hard work. The teens involved in the Career Readiness Empowered Workforce, or CREW program, are going to graduate.

The program put on by the Boys and Girls Club of the North Valley is aimed at giving our youth real-life job skills. They partnered with the Feather River Recreation and Park District to create the program.

Throughout the summer the teens worked on local baseball fields and park maintenance.

Their biggest project was irrigating and landscaping the main roundabout at Riverbend Park.

The Oroville Teen Center is hoping to turn this into an annual program. They also hope to expand to Paradise and Chico.
