An Oroville man wanted in connection with a stabbing near the Gold Feather Market last month has been arrested in Mendocino County.
According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, 33-year-old Kevin Blaine Dunkle, was recently identified as the suspect in a stabbing that occurred January 15 near the Gold Feather Market in Oroville.
Dunkle reportedly fled the area after the stabbing, but an arrest warrant was issued. On Tuesday Dunkle was arrested in Mendocino County and booked into jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
Sheriff's detectives say they have not established a motive for the stabbing, but witnesses say Dunkle was trying to instigate a fight before the incident. The victim was not seriously injured.
