If you enjoy the water features in area parks, you might be disappointed this Summer. The Feather River Park District board is considering shutting off the water at Oroville's Riverbend Park because of the drought.
Park officials have cut back the usage on the water feature at the Chico plaza, which is recycled water already. In Oroville it might be a different story as they are considering shutting it off for good this year.
The water spray park at the Riverbend Park in Oroville is usually turned on after Memorial Day. Following the governors mandate to cut back water usage by over 30% the Feather River Recreation and Park District is going to decide if the spray park will be used at all.
The district board will make the decision at 5:30 Tuesday night in Oroville.
