An Oroville man today pleaded no contest to six counts of sexual molest against two different victims, whom it was alleged he had drugged in order to molest them.
It was further revealed today the man took photos of the alleged molestations of one of his victims, which were recovered from his computer by police.
Kevin Fattal, 52, pleaded no contest to two counts of sexual molestation of a 15-year-old girl who was given alcohol and drugs by Fattal at a teenage party in his home in February of this year, Ramsey said.
He also pleaded no contest to four unrelated counts of sexual molest of an unrelated 22-year-old female who was also periodically drugged by Fattal over a period of years.
Fattal faces a maximum sentence of eighteen years in state prison and will be required to register as a sex offender when he is sentenced.
“The defendant violated these girls in their most vulnerable state,” District Attorney Ramsey said. “We commend the victims for having the courage to come forward so that the defendant can be held accountable for his actions.”
Judge Clare Keithley scheduled a June 15, 2016 court date to set a sentencing date. In the meantime Fattal will remain in custody in Butte County Jail where he has been since his arrest in February.
A search of the defendant’s computers revealed the defendant had been sexually molesting the woman over a period of years while she lived in his home and he had photographed the acts. In the photographs, the young woman appeared to be asleep or unconscious when Fattal performed various sex acts with her body.
