An Oroville man who allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of materials from a local business was arrested Sunday.

Oroville police say investigators were able to use surveillance photos from PB’s Prop Shop to link 47-year-old Duane Scott Render to a burglary at the business’s outdoor yard on Feather River Boulevard late last month.

Render is accused of stealing $1,600 worth of merchandise and causing another $1,000 worth of damage during the November 20 break-in.

Police arrested Render on Sunday and he has been booked into the Butte County Jail on suspicion of grand theft, but none of the stolen property has been located.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Oroville Police Department at 530-538-2448.
