A 62-year-old slaying suspect sought in an Oroville cold case has been extradited to Butte County from Nebraska and was arraigned Monday afternoon.

Marvin Owens, who has long been suspected of killing his wife Deborah Owens and disposing of her body, was arrested in Nebraska in mid-February. He was booked into the Butte County Jail at 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Deborah Owens was first reported missing in November of 1978, and her body has never been found.

Marvin Owens is not expected to enter a plea during his arraignment, but will be given a court appointed lawyer Monday.
