Oroville City Council approves new playground in Riverbend Park

The Oroville City Council has approved funding for a new children’s playground in Riverbend Park.

The Committee of the Supplemental Benefits Fund granted $50,000 with 50 percent matching funds ‘in-kind’ or cash, to the Feather River Recreation and Park District to build two structures.

One is intended for children two to five years old, and another for five to 12-years-old, and they both will be located near the North Field.

The cost of both structures is expected to be between $130,000 and $150,000, and they playground is expected to be ready for use in eight weeks.
