An Oroville airman who has been deployed for six months just landed back in the north state, and he is meeting his infant son James for the first time. Bryan Thomas Flicker was born on August 23, 2013 at Travis Air Force Base. Staff Sergeant Flicker watched the birth via Skype from his base in Afghanistan, but he was excited to meet him in person. Monica Flicker says she was nervous about their first meeting. She's been sending her husband pictures, but it just wasn't the same. Tammy Flicker, James' mom, has been worried about her son's safety, and she said she wouldn't fully relax until James exited the plane at Sacramento International Airport.
Once he landed, there were many hugs and tears, and Staff Sgt. Flicker said he plans to spend many hours relaxing and napping on the couch with his son.
