An Orland woman accused of shooting and killing her father and sister entered a plea Friday inside a Glenn County courtroom.

Dusti Byers, 20, pled guilty to two counts of voluntary manslaughter in order to reduce her sentence.

Byers was facing a maximum sentence of 41 years in prison, but now will face a possible sentence of 27 years.

Last July, Byers opened fire at her father, Daniel Byers, and her 16-year-old sister Jennifer Byers, killing both of them.

The shooting happened at the family's home on Mill Street, and according to investigators, Byers tried to kill herself, but survived.

She is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
