EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - An Albany man has been arrested for allegedly trafficking heroin from Los Angeles to Oregon.
The Linn County sheriff on Friday said Jeremy Brian Buchanan was arrested after he got off a Greyhound bus in Eugene. Authorities said the 28-year-old was carrying 9 ounces of heroin, worth an estimated $13,500.
The Register-Guard reports Buchanan faces charges of unlawful delivery of heroin, unlawful possession of heroin and conspiracy to deliver heroin.
Buchanan has been under investigation since October, when investigators suspected he was bringing heroin to Albany and Lebanon from California. They thought Buchanan was flying from Eugene to Los Angeles on a regular basis to buy the drug.
Earlier this month, detectives followed Buchanan to Northern California and back, and arrested him after he got off the bus.
