Hwy 45 in Glenn County was temporarily shut down in both directions after a semi-truck overturned late this morning. The highway is currently open to one-way traffic control and is expected to be cleared by 3 p.m.
CHP first responded to the accident just after 10 a.m. this morning which occurred on the junction of Hwy 45 and County Road 39 (Blue Gum Road) in Glenn County.
According to CHP officers at the scene, the truck was hauling approximately 40 to 50 thousand pounds of almonds when it was making a left turn from CR 39 onto Hwy 45. Due to high winds and weight shift, the truck turned over on its side. The driver of the truck walked away with only minor injuries.
