California Highway Patrol Officials say alcohol may have been a factor in a Wednesday afternoon crash near Whiskey Town Lake.
The single vehicle accident happened around 3:30 p.m. According to CHP investigators, the driver, a 72-year-old French Gulch man, was traveling westbound on Highway 299 when he drove off the road in his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and hit a rock back.
Traffic was reduced to one lane and the driver was transported to an area hospital, at this time there is no word on his condition.
CHP Officers are continuing to investigate.
