The rain has stopped in Colorado.
Now, search efforts and damage assessments are underway in the state.
Officials say flash floods from days of heavy rains have left as many as 8 people dead.
Hundreds still remain unaccounted for, but the number dropped yesterday from more than 1,200 to about half of that.
It's expected that number will continue to go down as rescuers locate more people and people without phone or internet get in touch with their families.
