Officials now say the Boles Fire destroyed about 110 homes and damaged another 90.
The revised totals for the town of Weed came Wednesday as state fire personnel conduct a house-to-house assessment. Officials had previously said the blaze damaged or destroyed more than 150 structures.
Cal Fire Battalion Chief Scott McLean says four firefighters lost their homes due to the fire.
Two churches, a community center and a library also have been destroyed since the fire started on Monday.
Fire crews took advantage of calmer winds and firefighting aircraft on Tuesday, gaining control in and around Weed. The fire is now 25 percent contained at 375 acres, but the area remains under a fire weather watch Wednesday due to the potential for strong winds.
