Despite Monday's wet weather, nearly a dozen protestors remain at the city plaza, and their protesting for change. The protest is inspired by the national movement "Occupy Wall Street".
Protestors set up base camp in the downtown city plaza Sunday afternoon. Though there are many reasons that protestors are standing their ground, most agree the main focus is putting an end to corporate greed and financial inequality.
Protestors say they are speaking out for the "99 percent" as they call it, the Americans they say that are misrepresented by the countries leaders. Citizens at the "Occupy Chico" event say they will remain in the plaza as long as it takes. They say all the protests around the nation will not stop until change is made both on Wall Street and in Washington.
