Obama to push Congress to act on immigration

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says he wants Congress now to focus on overhauling the nation's immigration system.

Obama will speak in the East Room of the White House today to call on lawmakers to take action soon.

House Speaker John Boehner has raised the possibility of a House vote, although most House GOP members question offering citizenship to people who broke U.S. immigration laws to be in the country.
