Hawes Farms in Anderson got a special shout out from the president Wednesday as Megan Rapinoe and the rest of the U.S. women’s soccer team were honored for their victory in the 2015 World Cup.
As you can see in the video above, President Obama was impressed with the corn maze Hawes Farms built in the shape of Rapinoe’s face.
Rapinoe, who was born in raised in Redding and attended Foothill High School, capped off an already sensational career with a World Cup Championship in July. Following the victory, Redding Mayor Francie Sullivan declared July 21 Megan Rapinoe day in Redding.
