ORINDA, Calif. (AP) - An 18-year-old Oakland man has been arrested on suspicion of pistol-whipping a nanny and stealing a Porsche from a San Francisco area suburb.

KTVU reported Thursday that Orinda police Chief Mark Nagel identified the suspect in the incident reported Tuesday.

Authorities say another suspect may have been involved but Nagel said the suspect in custody allegedly pistol-whipped the 53-year-old nanny and demanded the keys to a 2012 Porsche Cayenne before taking off with two iPads and $100.

Oakland police later spotted the Porsche. The driver took off when police tried to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle then crashed into a police car. No one was hurt.

The nanny is expected to recover from a laceration she received. A 5-year-old girl in the house at the time was unhurt.
