Nutrisca dog food recalled due to possible salmonella contamination

The dog food Nutrisca by the Tuffy's Pet Foods, Inc. is under a recall for possible salmonella contamination, according to NBC.

The chicken and chickpea recipe dry dog food may be contaminated. The recall involves only 4-pound bags.

The food has been sold nationwide at stores and online.

Salmonella can affect animals eating a contaminated product and there's risk to humans from handling contaminated products.
