A non-profit health provider in eastern Shasta County had to fire a temporary nurse practitioner who had some not-so-nice things to say about the people and community of Burney, one of the towns where Mountain Valleys Health Clinics operates.
The employee, who we will not name, ranted in a Facebook post last Friday that her patients were some of the "most vile specimens of humanity." She also said she was grateful that she was not born and raised in Burney.
Health clinic administrators responded with a social media move of their own, posting on their Facebook page that they were appalled by the employee's comments, adding that they love their patients and communities.
