ATLANTA (AP) - The number of babies born in the U.S. may be leveling off after years of decline.

Government figures show the number of babies born last year only slipped a little, to a little shy of 4 million.

That's only a few hundred less than in 2011. Earlier this week, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report showed not only a decline in U.S. women giving birth, but in getting pregnant.
