Northbound 99 in Chico reopens after big rig accident

(UPDATE) 4:58 p.m.- Both lanes of northbound Hwy 99 the Hwy 32 off ramp have reopened after a big rig accident blocked both lanes for nearly an hour.

UPDATE (4:30 p.m.) CHP has officially issued a SigAlert for northbound Hwy 99 at the Hwy 32 junction due to a big rig accident. Traffic is being routed off the off ramp and back onto the on ramp. They currently have no estimated time when the lanes will reopen.

Both northbound lanes of Hwy 99 at the Hwy 32 off ramp in Chico are closed at this time after a big rig reportedly jack knifed, according to initial reports by CHP.

It is unclear if there are any injuries at this time. The accident was first reported just after 4 p.m.
