North Valley Animal Disaster Group prepares for fire season

This typically isn't a time to be having fires here in the north state, but the drought in California seems to be showing us what this summer might look like. The North Valley Animal Disaster Group has already started to prepare for the upcoming season. This past weekend they trained 140 volunteers at the Chico Fire Training Center. The organization works to rescue animals and provide them with temporary shelters during natural disasters. They've partnered with the International Fund of Animal Welfare to help them prepare their volunteers. The North Valley Animal Disaster group started in 2002 and the amount of volunteers keeps growing every year.
