As many people head to the park to enjoy a nice day in the 70 to 80 degree temperatures, others are reaching for the medicine cabinet hoping to ease the pain of pollen allergies.
Wednesday's pollen count was around nine with much of that pollen coming from oak, juniper and other trees.
Local allergist Dr. Anton Dotson says he has been treating patients since late last year for allergy symptoms brought on by the early blossoms.
He says without some late winter early or spring rain we could be in for a tough year when it comes to allergies as pollen from trees combines with grass pollen that will begin to present it self in the near future.
