Gas prices are continuing to rise, according to Gasbuddy.com, a website that follows gas prices nationally.
The average price of gas in Chico last week was up 1.4 cents per gallon, to $3.84 on Sunday. This compares with the national average that has increased 1.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.55 cents per gallon.
Including the change in gas prices in Chico during the past week, prices yesterday were 7.8 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 9.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 7.4 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 3.1 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
"For those who may be headed to California, they may be greeted with rising prices to the tune of 10-20 cents per gallon over the next two weeks” said Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan.
