North State fire update

Firefighters continue to make great progress battling the wildfires burning in northern California.

Cal Fire Officials say they are expecting full containment of the Bald Fire tonight. The fire has burned 39,248 acres.

The Eiler Fire near Burney is now 45 percent contained, with 31,722 acres burned. All of the evacuations issued as a result of this fire were lifted earlier this week. Full containment of the Eiler Fire is expected by August 20.

Officials say the Day Fire, which has burned 13,153 acres, will be fully contained by tomorrow.

The Beaver Fire, in Siskiyou County, has grown to 18,397 acres and remains only 20 percent contained. A Beaver Fire community meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Yreka, at the Klamath River Community Center.
