The NorCal Starz Softball team, formerly known as the Chico Starz, have signed a deal with former Olympian Kelly Jackson. The deal will make them powered by Mizuno and All-American Softball.

Jackson is a Red Bluff High alum who played for Arizona State and then went on to play for the national team. She currently runs All-American Softball, a training facility in Sacramento. Jackson has been able to help more than 300 players land scholarships over the past 20 years.

Tryouts for the five NorCal Starz teams, ranging from 10-U to 18-U, will take place on Saturday at Hooker Oak Park.
