A lot of people love their pets like their children, but one Sacramento man went above and beyond when a bear tried to attack his beloved dog Lacy.

Placer County resident Carl Moore, 73, said his dog started whimpering outside a few weeks ago. When Carl headed out to find out why, he found himself face to face with a bear.

"I ain't run from nothing; I never have in my whole life and I ain't going to start now," he said. "And you're not going to sacrifice my babies for some damn bear," Moore told KHSL affiliate KOVR. "I raised both hands in the air and I cussed at him, ‘Rrraaaaaaa! Get out of here you bastard, and he looked at me like ‘Go eff yourself," he said.

What happened next can only be described as insane. Moore wound up and threw a haymaker that landed right in the bear's face.

A lot of people say no way, but those who know Moore well say the ex-first recon Marine is just the type to take down a bear, bare handed.
