A Butte County non-profit is looking for a few good builders to help create housing for family households living on the brink of homelessness.
With the help of a state grant and investments from three community banks, the North Valley Housing Trust is looking to award up about $1.1 million to builders willing to participate in the project.
The goal of the project is to provide badly needed housing for local households earning less than 30 percent of the area median annual household income, which is around $44,000 today.
For any builders interested in participating, the housing trust is holding a meeting at its offices at the Old Chico Municipal Building in downtown Chico on April 16. The meeting begins at 10 a.m.
