The delta breeze continued Friday, and Valley temperatures continued to be slightly below average for this time of year. High pressure may strengthen just a bit Saturday, but will weaken again Sunday into early next week... meaning our temperatures are going to stay fairly nice for a while, by July standards.
Afternoon thunderstorms erupted again in the northern Sierra and southern Cascades on Friday, which should diminish after sunset... but will return again this weekend, as just enough moisture and instability remain for them to pop up. These storms should contain rain, meaning no dry lightning.
Long range models are showing a warm up late next week, and coupled with a north wind (the opposite of a delta breeze) that could push Valley temperatures back up to the triple digits. But until then... enjoy some good July weather!
