It was another unsettled day in the mountains, but a beautiful one in the Valley. Look for more of the same tomorrow before a slight warmup happens this weekend!
Not much has changed in the past few days, and Friday looks like yet more of the same... Nice temperatures in the Valley, with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the mountains. A large dip in the jet stream (a trough of low pressure) remains in place over California. High pressure will begin to build into California this weekend, and that will mostly dry up those mountain showers and begin to warm our temperatures up... Although no blistering heat is in sight for the rest of May. There may be a few afternoon showers next week in the mountains, but not as much as this week.
Overall, it's looking like more nice weather is heading our way, just a bit warmer. A nice finish to May!
