It was a hot finish to our week... and more heat is coming Saturday! We'll cool back down by early next week, however.
High pressure is strong, and warmed everyone in the Valley into the 90's for highs today. High clouds streamed into the North State, despite high pressure (we call this a 'dirty ridge'), and all of that should happen again tomorrow.
A disturbance in the Pacific will approach the coast Sunday, which will weaken high pressure and kick up the delta breeze... both of which will help to cool us down. By Monday & Tuesday, look for Valley highs near 80. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible in the mountains (especially Monday). High pressure should rebuild late next week.
