It was a comfortable day around the North Valley today, as temperatures cooled down nicely. Look for a slow warmup later this week... but not too bad.
A disturbance moved into Oregon and far northern California today, cooling us down nicely, and bringing a few showers to the Siskiyous. This disturbance will move east overnight, allowing high pressure to slowly rebuild... which will warm us back up slowly through the week. There will still be enough lingering moisture in the mountains to spark a few afternoon showers through the week as well.
Another disturbance will arrive later this week, keeping the mountains unsettled and preventing high pressure from getting strong. Finally, we're keeping an eye on Hurricane Andres in the Pacific. It will lose strength very soon, but what will happen to it's moisture later this week? It's possible some of it's remnants will work their way into northern California this weekend... something to watch for.
