Temperatures cooled down a bunch today around the North State, and look for even more cooling over the next few days. A nice start to Fall!
Monday was a blazing hot day around the North State, but with high pressure breaking down and the Delta Breeze picking up, it really cooled down today. A big area of low pressure in the north Pacific has nudged high pressure southward and weakened it, allowing us to cool down some. This low will never directly move into California, but it will continue to weaken high pressure over the next few days, cooling us down even more. We'll notice a few high clouds over us occasionally, but nothing more than that. Overall, nice weather to start Fall with.
The Autumnal Equinox (beginning of Fall) is early Wednesday morning, at 1:21 a.m. PDT.
