Skies turned partly cloudy today, and that will continue through Thanksgiving... with little change in temperature, as a band of moisture in the Pacific inches closer to us. Skies will turn cloudy on Friday, with light rain moving in Friday night. Low pressure will slide in on Saturday, but this low doesn' t have that much moisture with it... So expect just off and on showers both Saturday and Sunday.
Stronger low pressure will drop southward from the north Pacific to just off the California coast by Sunday. That will begin to pump moisture towards us... so expect the showers to turn to rain Sunday night and Monday. As the low pushes southward by Tuesday, we'll see the rain turn to just a few scattered showers then.
It's looking like the Valley will see 1" to 3" of rain from this entire system! Highest amounts to the north, lightest to the south. The mountains will see much more. Snow levels will start near 6000', but drop to near 4000 by Monday night. A nice, wet start to December!
