Temperatures remained mild around the North State today (for August, at least)... and that looks to continue through this week. We'll see occasional cloudiness as well.
Valley highs were in the 90's on Monday because high pressure isn't too strong and we had a decent Delta Breeze flowing. Neither of these will change much through the week, so our temperatures will remain nice (for August). A bit of subtropical moisture in the Pacific will surge into California tomorrow, causing the clouds to thicken Tuesday afternoon, which will keep our temperatures in check. This moisture should spark a few afternoon thunderstorms in the mountains.
Skies will clear Wednesday and Thursday, but another disturbance in the Pacific will bring us more cloud cover Friday and knock our temperatures right back down! Hazy skies are likely to continue for a while, due to all the fires burning in northern California.
