HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Later today, officials in Connecticut will release to news organizations the 911 calls that were made from inside Sandy Hook Elementary School the day of the mass shooting that left 20 students and six educators dead.

The state prosecutor has dropped his fight to continue withholding the calls. He's been ordered to release them.

State's Attorney Stephen Sedensky III had argued among other things that survivors of last December's Newtown shooting deserved special protection as victims of child abuse.
