A ribbon cutting was held for the new Pickle Ball courts at Enterprise Park in Redding Thursday.
What was once a crumbling roller hockey court, has been transformed into a newly refurbished Pickle Ball court - to the delight of the "Redding Pickle Ball 4 All" club.
Members started playing right after the ribbon was cut.
The courts are open to anyone.
Community members say it is a great addition.
Redding Director of Community Services, Kim Neimer, said, "pickle ball is sort of a new phenomenon the last few years, a great way for adults to stay active, combines both a physical component but a very social component as well."
The 26 thousand dollar project was funded by the McConnell foundation and the Shasta Regional Community Foundation, along with help from local volunteers.
The facilities can still accommodate Roller Hockey Games as well.
