RENO, Nev. (AP) - The state Board of Regents has approved a five-year contract worth $2 million for new Nevada basketball coach Eric Musselman.
Nevada athletic director Doug Knuth formally introduced the two-time former NBA coach at the Lawlor Events Center on the Reno campus Thursday afternoon shortly after the regents voted in Las Vegas.
Musselman says the Wolf Pack have their work cut out for them in a tough Mountain West Conference. He says he's going to expect his players to be in "unbelievable physical condition" because his plan is to "play as fast as possible."
The former Kings and Warriors coach who was an assistant at LSU this past season says he told his players during their first meeting Thursday he doesn't have an offensive set that takes 30 seconds to run.
