Nearly $40,000 in Equipment Stolen from Tehama County Farm

An unknown number of thieves stole over $38,000 from Hart Farms in Gerber sometime over the weekend.

Darin Titus reported someone stole four Kawasaki 610 “Mules”, two 2600 Stihl chainsaws, a ditch pump, four pruning shears, a spray system sprayer, a couple of solo/backpack sprayers, a Magnum light tower and a master 'Special Duty' padlock sometime between May 31 and June 2 on Tehama Avenue at Rawson Road. The estimated value of the stolen goods is $38,620.00, according to the Tehama County Sheriff’s press release.

According to the release, the suspect(s) cut a hole in the fence to gain access to the property then moved a tractor which had been parked in front of the doors to the storage container. It is believed the suspect(s) then cut a padlock securing the container then removed the items. Deputies are following on several leads in the case.
