Despite some fog in the southern half of the Sacramento Valley to start our Friday... it turned into a warm day. Redding broke a record high, reaching 75! High pressure will only strengthen this weekend, sending temperatures even warmer. The north end of the Valley (Redding, Anderson, Red Bluff) will flirt with 80 degrees! Everyone else will be comfortably in the 70's, after morning fog burns off in Yuba & Sutter counties. Even the Ridge will hit the 70's this weekend.
High pressure will weaken next week, and a bit of subtropical moisture will surge northward to us. We'll have a chance of a shower on Tuesday, but it won't be much (if anything). But it will feel a bit more like winter, with cooler temperatures and some decent cloud cover.
But until then... enjoy the spring preview weather this weekend!
