It’s an extreme sport that fits in a pocket.
And on Saturday, the nation’s top yo-yo competitors took their talents to the North State.
It was all part of the 2013 National Yo-Yo Championship and the sport’s top 100 athletes competed for top honors at the Chico Plaza.
Event organizers say practicing yo-yo helps establish a positive work ethic.
“When kids play yo-yo they learn things like the benefit of practice and what happens when you apply yourself,” said Bob Malowney.
