Paradise police say Friday morning, they went to a home at the 7,300 block of Skyway to find a man wanted on two felony warrants. They located John Eastman, who they say attempted to give them a false name. While conducting an investigation, they say they learned Jason Harding was at the location. Harding was wanted on a $280,000 felony warrant out of Tehama County. They say Harding had just gotten out of the shower, and instead of getting arrested, he chose to make a mad dash for the door while still naked. A Sergeant, an officer, and a K-9 named Cash chased after him, following the naked man across four lanes of traffic on the Skyway and into an empty field south of Burger King. Investigators say Harding refused to stop for police, so they deployed Cash. They say the naked man began assaulting Cash, so they caught up with the pair and deployed the taser. Harding was taken into custody and to the Feather River Hospital ER. Harding was bitten several times by Cash. Police did not specify where on his body he was bitten, or what part of his body was tasered. Eastman, 44, will be charged with False Information to a Police Officer, Grand Theft, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Failure to Appear. Harding, 38, will be charged with Resisting a Police Officer, Assault on a Police Canine, Possession of Stolen Property, and Grand Theft, among other charges.
