Testimonies continued this morning in the Jeffrey Menzies murder trial, where investigators showed what's believed to be the murder weapon in court for the first time. The prosecution called several people to the stand to testify, including a detective from the Chico Police Department who re-capped the discovery of a high powered rifle in a field near the intersection of Highway 32 and Bruce Road. Menzies is charged with the sniper-style killing of David Yang as he sat in his car at that intersection. A representative from the Department of Justice also testified that Menzies' DNA was linked to some bloody jeans and pieces of clothing found on a barb wire fence. Testimonies from both sides are expected to last all week.
