The Sacramento man accused of killing a 6-year-old girl then setting her body on fire in Glenn County was arraigned in Sacramento, and prosecutors revealed that the man's mother is also facing a felony charge.

Juan Rivera was arraigned Tuesday for the murder of 6-year-old Jadianna Larsen's death. The Sacramento County District Attorney's complaint alleges Rivera used a "blunt force instrument" to kill Larsen.

Moments after Rivera was arraigned, his mother, Lisa Suzanne Burton was arraigned for being an accessory after the fact.

Larsen's body was found badly burned in a cry creek bed near Artois Thursday morning. Sacramento Sheriff's deputies arrested Rivera, who is the boyfriend of Larsen's mother, Saturday.

Rivera had been caring for Larsen when she was reported missing, he told deputies he had a medical emergency and passed out. He said that when he woke up, Jadianna was gone.
