(UPDATE) 12:40 p.m. - The Butte County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the burning vehicle containing the remains of three individuals, a green 2000 Acura TL, was recently reported stolen to the Sacramento Police Department. The victims have not been identified and no causes of death have been determined.
(UPDATE) 11:54 a.m.- The Butte County Sheriff's Office has confirmed there were three bodies found in a burning vehicle near Magalia this morning. They could provide no further details but they are expected to release more information at any moment. We will bring you further information once its officially released.
Sheriff's Officials out of Butte County say that multiple people are dead after discovering bodies in a burned car in Magalia. It happened around 2am Thursday morning on the Skyway between Hupp Coutolenc and Coutolenc Road. Authorities say someone in the area heard a "pop" and when Sheriff's Deputies went to go check on it, they found the car in flames. Firefighters were called to put out the blaze.
After firefighters put out the fire, Sheriff Deputies found what they are saying is more than one body in the green Acura TL. They have not confirmed exactly how many bodies there are. Part of the Skyway is closed until officers clear the area.
