Temperatures cooled down a bit on Thursday, and much cooler weather is heading our way this weekend... even a slight chance of rain. Finally, Fall weather for us!
Low pressure over southern California sparked thunderstorms down there today... but we only saw a few high clouds. It has weakened high pressure enough to cool us down a bit. As low pressure continues to swirl over southern California, it'll pump a bit more high cloud cover our way tomorrow and weaken high pressure even further, so look for additional cooling Friday.
A somewhat stronger storm in the north Pacific will arrive Saturday. Models are now suggesting it may bring a few scattered showers near midday Saturday, even to the Valley... but certainly not much, just a hundredth or two. The mountains have the potential to see more, but probably just around 1/10".
Skies will clear Saturday night, but Sunday will remain mild. Temperatures will warm a bit next week, but not much. Look for it to get a bit breezy on Tuesday.
Long range models are indicating the last week of October could be a bit unsettled. No big storms, but a few small ones may start to graze us... finally!
