Sunny skies, and much cooler temperatures are ahead for your Thursday! Valley areas have dipped into the high 50's to low 60's overnight, and mountain areas are starting out the day in the mid 40's to mid 50's. Afternoon high temperatures are only expected to climb into the high 80's to low 90's in the valley, and into the mid 70's to mid 80's in the higher elevations. Winds today will be out of the Southeast up to around 15mph, but gusts to 25mph are possible. Humidity values will be low this afternoon, and that could leave the region with elevated fire danger paired with the stronger winds.
Temperatures will stay below average through the upcoming weekend. Valley locations will range from the low to mid 90's through Sunday, and mountain areas will mostly be in the low to mid 80's. Dry conditions, and sunny skies will continue across your entire extended forecast. The heat will ramp up in the region early on next week. The valley will heat back up into the mid 90's to low triple digits by Monday, with widespread triple digit heat ahead for Tuesday. I hope everyone enjoys these cooler temperatures while they last, and has a great Thursday!
